  • I’m such a sucker for teh Pantone fan on my ITouch, but then I’ve maxed out the 8gig and I can always use more right?!

  • I dunno how legit this is, but I feel pretty creative when I graffiti my pictures using Comeks. Thought bubbles that say, “I just farted,” are classic.

  • What a great giveaway! I’d have to say Colorstrology. It’s just fab! I’ve been dying to have one of these iPod touch since they’ve come out! Yay DuPont and Ogilvy PR!

  • Ooooh! I’ve never had any newer ipod products so I’ve never used an app, but I hear CameraBag is neat! What an amazing giveaway!

  • First: I don’t know if it counts as design related, but I just learned about http://www.istorytimeapp.com/ yesterday and it looks really cool…

Second: How the heck did you get those people to give you an iPod to giveaway????? I don’t want to think badly but… ;-P

  • color splash looks really cool, I love pics that play with b&w with pops of color. Maybe if I win the iTouch I can get back to you on that!!

  • oh man, this is awesome. my favorite is benjamin moore’s app where you can take a picture of say, a bowl, the color which is perfect for your guest room walls. and voila, they give you the paint color that nearly matches.

  • I don’t have an iphone or ipod touch – so I couldn’t really say what my favorite app would be. But if I won this give away I’d be happy to report back to you after I loaded them onto my device!

  • What an amazing giveaway! I recently left my ‘ol classic ipod on a plane (tear) so I would jump for joy to win this bad boy! I think one of the first apps I would put on it would be myPantone – love all those colors.

  • Oh, wow…I don’t have iAnything, unfortunately…I wish I did! So, I am not familiar with any applications personally. I have drooled on the Apple app store site a few times, though! And there is a design app in the showcase right now tha tI’d like to play with…JD Reflect! The colors in patterns in the preview are yummy!

  • I would love to get one of these beauties! I have never used one before but I imagine I would love the MyPantone app-sounds fabulous! Thanks for such an amazing give away!

The myPantone one sounds great too!!!

  • OMG cool!!! I am not familiar w/ the apps because I don’t have an iphone or itouch! I loove all the apps I see on tv commercials though and would die for this :)

  • I don’t have an iPhone or iTouch so I haven’t experienced any of the design apps myself yet, but many of the ones above sound like they’d be fantastic such as MyPantone.

  • I don’t have an iPod touch, so I’m not familiar with many apps, but I was constantly passing on the camera at work and instead using my co-worker’s iPhone with the CameraBag application for work-related tasks.

BUT SHE QUIT AND NOW I HAVE NOTHING! So count me in with fingers crossed!

  • I don’t have an iphone or itouch either so I’m just guessing that CameraBag would be my favourite. It looks really fun with all those effects.

  • i would use iDrawing to sketch out those random ideas i have for artwork when a pen and paper isn’t handy! MyPantone also sounds awesome.

  • “Color Expert” is the coolest :)
Thank you for a fantastic giveaway!

    (the iDrawing sounds awesome too)

  • I too like the Pantone fan. I also really like the real paint chips. I pick some up where ever I go that has them. It is so fun to flip through the colors, and come up with new combinations!

  • Wow – this is an absolutely EPIC giveaway!!!

I’ve never had a schmancy iProduct, but I’ve read about an interior design app named MarkOnCall which let’s you design a room layout and rearrange and budget for the project, which I would probably love! I’m sure if I started looking though I could find endless apps to become quickly addicted to. I’m already going to have to go Google this legendary CameraBag character…

  • I love Palettes and am constantly picking out colors to inspire new combos for clothes, my Tumblr, my dream house, etc.

  • I don’t have (nor have I ever had) an iPhone or anything, so I don’t really have a favorite app. But ColorExpert looks pretty cool.

  • I am pretty lox-tech and have not tried any of these applications but the MyPantone app sounds like it would be very handy to have on you at all times. I could get down on that.

    Fingers Crossed.

  • I requested that my husband download a coloring book app for his phone. It’s the perfect creative outlet/stress reliever when I only have a couple minutes to kill!

  • i’ve never had a fancy igadget like this one, so I’m not sure what my fave app would be. ColorExpert sounds cool though!

  • How about Evernote? While not necessarily a design app, per se, it sure is handy for making note of things that have inspired me!

I’d loooove the itouch, btw! I keep trying to steal my (lucky 12 year old) son’s itoutch, but he guards it carefully!

  • I love using the myPantone app on my iPhone; I bet my sweetie would love to get his hands on this iPod Touch so we could dork out in unison!

  • Wow, what an amazing give away! The people at DuPont and Ogilvy PR are a bunch of sweeties!

This isn’t 100% design related, but it’s definitely art related! I really love the Polaroid app for the iPhone. I think it’s called Shake It. The photos come out really amazing.

    Pick me, pick me!!

  • I can’t believe you’re giving one of those away! I would LOVE to get it!

  • Amazing giveaway!!! Well, I don’t have anything to download applications on, but I would guess that there would be a tie between the “MyPantone Color Library iPhone” Application and the “Pandora” application as well… music is very inspiring and helpful in my design process. Color and music… two of my favorite things :) Good luck y’all!

  • What an incredible giveaway! My experience with the iPod Touch has been limited to borrowing my (gracious!) friend’s. While not design-specific, one of my favorite apps is Artnear. • What a fab giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity! My fav app is “What the Font”. I’m a sucker for fonts. :-)

  • Im not sure if you would consider this design related, but as Im going to school to be a stylist, I really love the Feather Report.

  • I don’t know what my fave design app is… because I am SO not up to date technologically!

  • WOW this is great. I don’t know much about iPhone apps, but CameraBag is awesome. It’s like having a lomo mixed in with the rest of life’s essentials!!

Palettes is also awesome for when color scheme organizing is in necessary. (WHICH IS OFTEN)

  • Well, what a generous giveaway! I suppose it’s not design related, (since I don’t have an iTouch or iPhone) but the app that can identify music / songs for you seems really ace! As well as the font-based ones I’ve heard all about!

  • sublisten creates postive affirmations for you which you know we all need to hear as designers.

  • This would be a perfect prize for me and would help to alleviate the ‘nerd’ status I have accumulated over the years. It would make up for the lack of ‘cool’ I encompass and would help me to lead a more happy and fulfilling life while attracting new friends and going to more parties. Hey… I might even live longer! :D

  • benjamin moore paint app….LOVE IT & it helps me coordinate paint colors with focal point room items.

  • I don’t have a Touch or an iphone but i have to say that playing with my friends phone has gotten me used to the application Colour Expert. So fun!

  • Holy cow, I don’t even know what I would do with myself if I won this one -!!!

  • I would love love love to be a proud owner of an ipod touch!!!

  • Awesome! I don’t know if it’s design related enough but I would love the iTouch for the knitbuddy app!

  • Wow…such a tough decision! I believe my favorite is the WhatTheFont app — I am a total font fanatic!
    Thanks!

  • I don’t really know many applications for the iphone but the patone one sounds great. Incredible giveaway!

  • I guess I’m old-school, because I’m still rockin’ the regular non-touch iPod, but the Etch A Sketch and Font apps sound awesome! I bet if I won, I could find a ton more great design apps to take all my time! ;-)

  • Potshot!
Definatley the etch-a-sketch app, brings back childhood memories.

  • Its almost worth not entering just so I don’t disappoint myself… but I really hope to win! Colorsplash is a really fun app I hope to play with on my own ipod soon:]

  • There really aren’t very many galleries near where I’m going to school but I’d love to be able to use artnear when I go to home to portland over break! If I only I could use apps on the computer….

  • Flip book light revolutionized boredom when I used my cousins on a 10 hour road trip.

  • I love Colorblind Helper, I think its a really cool idea, additionally my dad is colorblind so I appreciate that. But for something more design-y, both MyPantone and What The Font look awesome.

  • It’s hard to know what my favorite app is without an iphone, but whatthefont is AWESOME. the font-gems i’ve found by begging friends to use their iphones for my own creative needs just fuels my jealousy!

  • There is no way i am going to win :)

i like the “bump” ap. Not a design ap but its one that you can use with your design clients as long as they have iphones.

  • I dont have an iPod touch but i think i would love to be able to use Art Gallery. To have great arts on my touch would be awesome!

  • The Benjamin Moore app is way too much fun. Almost makes you want to repaint every room in your house!

  • Oh i’ve always wanted an ipod touch! My app would definitely be MyPantone!

I must tell you that I like like like your nice blog!

    Agneta & Sweden

  • Amazing!!
WhatTheFont is just such a priceless app– and the name is wonderfully witty to boot.

  • I don’t have an iphone (being a poor student and all) but the What The Font application seems to be an excellent way to express yourself in crazy fonts like Comic Sans one day and hipster Helvetica another time. ^^

  • The app that I want to highlight is Sublisten. You can program your I touch to play subliminal messages of health, well-being and success. Sounds like something we can all use. :)

  • I do not have an iPhone or an iPod Touch so I know very little about design-related apps (though I do have my eye on a bunch of tech-related ones that I got to know about through work) BUT myPANTONE looks super cute. I love color and finding my combinations that look great.

  • CameraBag for sure, yes indeed. Count me in and send that baby my way,

  • Totlly the Benjamin Moore catch-a-colour, i would literally be able to play with that app for hours!!! I also love Layers, It would give me the equivalent of photoshop on the go, and I travel quite a lot so it would let me be far more creative.

  • I would say the microphone. It isn’t really designrelated but I use it a lot for interviews and writing and stuff.

  • PLEASE GIVE TO MEEEE.
    I have NEVER owned an MP3 player…
    soz embarrassed.

  • this is sooooo cool!!!! MarkOnCall is awesome….. great giveaway Erin!!!!

  • geez…since i’ve never even touched an ipod touch, i have know idea what apps are out there, but whatever will help me with measurements and colors on the go would be awesome!

  • what an amazing giveaway! i’d like to win it for my husband, as i know he wants one even more than i do! :) my favorite app is MyFonts!

  • am not familiar with any of the apps but it would be one that resembles photoshop.

  • WOW! I would love to win this! I don’t have an iphone so I don’t know which apps I would like but I can’t wait to try them! ;) Thanks!

  • I’m an architect and my cool card has been revoked ever since my iphone was stolen.
My favorite app was Home Sizer. I used it way more then I thought I would when I laid out preliminary floor plans.

  • The still rock my i-pod mini from 2003 (I think?) so I don’t have the luxury of apps! I’d love to have a shiny new i-pod though and from reading the comments, it looks like I’d have a lot of apps to have fun with!

  • What an awesome giveaway! MyPantone looks amazing and I would love to give it a spin.

  • I’ve been reading about the Feather Report app on a bunch of blogs and I would love to have this! Dressing for the day’s weather never works out for me.

  • Mark on Call – “What Would You Do With This Room?” is so creative and helpful.

  • Woohooo woowzer this would be soooo amazing! I’d LOVE one! Since stealing my friends i’ve found the ‘Color Expert’ app to be my fav so far… Thank you for such a fantastic giveaway! :)

  • you got my attention erin. i am sitting and waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

  • No….WAY!! This is TOO awesome!!!
    I’m hyperventilating.
    My favorite design app? WhatTheFont?!
I see a billion fonts everyday, so it’s fun to test my font knowledge! That and, if I can’t guess the font, it drives me Crazy trying to remember what it is!

  • I’ve never owned an i-anything, but I’m a huge fan of What The Font and apparently there is an app for that. I’m sure I would love it!

  • Oh WoW!! AMAZING GIVEAWAY! I think the Camera Bag app sounds pretty fun.

  • I don’t own an Ipod yet,but it’s definitely on my ‘Wish List’.
There are so many applications that I would get, these two look really interesting to me:
    ColorExpert or MyFont
Some very creative apps out there :))

  • Well, I still have a cute lime green iPod mini (remember those?), so no apps for me. BUT if I won this, the first app I’d add would be the StitchMinder app, for knitters and crocheters, to keep track of rows completed, increases and decreases, etc. Perfect for someone like me who is constantly going back to count her stitches, again, because she can’t remember where she is in the pattern. :)

    What an awesome giveaway!

  • Mark On Call interior design app! Great tool for rearranging and visualizing :)

  • I don’t have anything ‘I’ related. Maybe because I’m a part of the ‘y’ generation not the ‘I’ generation. So I don’t really know any applications on the iphone or itouch.

I’ve had a look at some of the replies and mypantone looks like a popular pick, I wonder what that is. I do know what pantone is:) love the colours. I love colours, I use them in design all the time and I guess I would love that app:)

I’d love to have a new device to put my music on because my old mp3 has filled up. So if you pick me :) I’ll be over the moon.

Would love to study with it, heading into year 12, kind of sad that I have to give up doing some of the stuff I love, like designing for study, but I’m sure it will pay off when I get into a design course in uni:)

:) I hope whoever gets it uses it well.

  • omgg i love the etch-a-sketch app. its fun wen u wanna draw sumthin random.

  • I want an ipod touch so I can use the pantone app!!!!!
All I have is a really really old shuffle!
    Great giveaway!

  • Oblique is amazing! Works well for my boyfriend for overcoming his design blocks, as well for me, when I have writer’s block!

  • I have never gotten to use any application on any iTouch! I would like to try with my very own, pretty please!

  • I do not have an iphone, so i’ve never used an app, but i came across one that i bookmarked because i love how it looks. it’s called qlocktwo pocket. it spells out the time in a very interesting way. not sure how design related it is other than looking good.

  • I love my Apple computers, but definitely don’t have any technology that uses apps….soooooo would love to though!

  • My favorite design-related app is myPANTONE. Thanks for the opportunity! ;)

  • the pantone application, but to be honest, i don’t own one so i just copied what most of the other people said. i’d love to win and come up with my own opinion ;).

  • I don’t have an ipod Touch. I would love one! I would check out Google Earth and then annoy the fish in the Koi Pond. :P

    Gotta have both.

  • I’ve never had any newer ipod products so I’ve never used an app, but my friends have been yammering about CameraBag lately.

  • I would have to say if i had a ipod touch i would pick Colorstrology from what i can see of it ,but id see it better if i won this lovely prize ,cause then i could buy Colorstrology :)
follow you on twitter as weldo48

  • My favorite app myPantone !!

    Nancy in HI
    NHaitsuka at aol dot com

  • dude, totally awesome. i don’t actually know like any apps besides aviary so i’m going to have to say that that’s my favorite

  • i LOVE whatthefont, so much that it has front page status on my iphone. it enables you to take a picture of any font.. from an ad on the bus, a t-shirt, or from a magazine.. and the app identifies either the exact font used or several similar fonts. fantastic for a fontophile like me.

  • Actually. I’m pretty low on design related apps, I need tips! (and I’ll get them when I finally browse through all these comments! ;)

I’ve been looking at myPANTONE a little, and now I stumbled up on ColorTroy, looks really handy tool to make time fly buy on the bus.

Font related apps might qualify though, like What the font, TouchFonts, Kern, FontShuffle. I’d like FontGame to be released as an app (http://ilovetypography.com/ifontgame/)

  • Best design related app is Sideways Mobile. It’s very cool and creates some really neat images!

  • hopefully i’ll be a little more accustomed to the apps if i win, so no fav’s as yet!

  • I’m not sure how much this qualifies as a “design app” per se, but I have seen the “My Style Fashion Assistant” app and it is fantastic. Who wouldn’t want an app that remembers all your wardrobe pieces, helps put together outfits, tracks the last time you wore the various pieces and helps you plan for upcoming events. Who needs a bff when an app like this exists?!?

Seriously, bring on the robot revolution, I say!

  • I really like the Live Interior 3D Standard app by BeLight Software! It’s an interior design app that helps you map out a floorplan in 2D or 3D before you get to work designing or re-designing your home. You get 360 degree views and can share it online with Google 3D Warehouse!

  • I have never had an ipod before but my friends do. I think Sideways mobile is amazing. :) so colourful and sparks the designer in all of us. win win situation.
Thanks for hosting this contest. :)
