OK, follow this trail with me. This cardigan? It’s the perfect shade of cranberry, and The Cranberries sang ‘Linger’, which has the above lyric in it, which I love. End title explanation.
This outfit encompasses precisely the reason I needed to take this challenge. I’ve never worn the aforementioned cardigan with anything other than black skinny jeans b/c it looks so, so slammin’ Michael Jackson-ish and I suppose I just didn’t know what else to do with it. Until it found its way next to this sweet little ikat number in my closet. The two chatted it up, and the next thing I know they’re begging to be displayed together. I swear, sometimes I don’t know what happens in that closet unsupervised.
Anyway, they invited my favorite men’s shirt (as seen in this outfit) and boom — an ensemble is born. I originally paired this look with a gold bow belt and gold shoes (as seen in this outfit), but it was just… not quite right. Enter motorcycle boots, which can edge out anything, and the sweet hair band balanced the “I like my coffee black and my cars fast” vibe.
And, for the record, I like my coffee iced, with plenty of milk/sugar, and I like my cars to drive very, very slow.
Above is an outfit for the 30/30/30 challenge, which you can read about right here. You’ll find my outfit photos in this space, along with my experiences in living with less over at ReadyMade Magazine every Thursday. Enjoy!
haha never feel the need to justify a love of the Cranberries. I’ve got that album on my ‘pod and i feel like i’m constantly re-living Empire Records over again and again.
love this outfit. esp the boots.
oh my gosh, favourite!
i’m so glad the cardigan and skirt chatted! (or more?….)
Love the cranberries, love the title, and really love the cardigan. :) I remember I used to be obsessed with the cranberries and it drove my Mom craaaazy…the one song where she is yodeling or whatever you want to call it. I played it over and over and over. Ahh the teen years.
Love that color on you. LOVE.
LOVE it, that shirt is rockin and you are adorable as always! Do ya have to? Do ya have to? Do ya have to let it linger? :)

Hey There, I “stumbled” across your blog (literally) and I love it. Your writing is so witty and entertaining and you look fabulous. It is a great combination.
By the way, I am pretty much obsessed with “Linger.” It is a song that is ALWAYS and forever stuck in my head, not to mention I can rock the hell out of it on Rock Band. Lol!
Happy Thanksgiving!
