I’m headed to Valparaiso for the “Listen To Your Mother” event and am so excited to dine with a new friend at this super cute little tavern downtown before the show. Indiana’s good at that — building taverns and serving you french fries.
Anyway, when I’m not sure what the dress code of an event calls for, I throw on a patterned dress (this one’s from Lulu’s) and black fitted blazer. Works every time. I dare you to find an event where you’ll be out of place in the above outfit.
Unless you’re going bowling.
Nope, even then it would be awesome.
Casual Business Chic. This is a good one. The matching tights and shoes really extend the length of the leg. And a cute pose to pull it all together. ;)
You’re rockin’ it, girl. Have a great time.
I’ve bowled in a similar outfit… you just have to make sure your victory dance doesn’t include any high kicks so you can keep the show family-friendly.
Is this a bustier dress perchance? Very fetching. Not spring your way yet I see!
This outfit is my favorite so far…it is so you! Love how it coordinates with the office area rug!
That is the perfect outfit! For everything!! Thanks for sharing. I’m inspired.
would you believe that i’m still looking for the perfect black blazer? might i ask where that beauty you’re donning is from? (since i know you have similar spending rules…..) :)
Ditto tobe: I would LOVE to know where you found that blazer.
TARGET! not lying. its a target find from last fall and i wear it ALL the time. its a pretty clear j. crew knock-off, but i’m not particular about that kind of thing. best purchase ever.
i’m sure they’ll have similar ones if you can wait out the summer season… :)
I wish your comments had a “like” button, because I laughed out loud when I read Jillian’s comment about “keeping the show family friendly.” Love it!
Beautiful outfit! I too, have been on the hunt for the perfect blazer. Looks like another excuse to keep checking back at Target!
oh yes — target is the best of the best!
You’re completely right. AND I have that blazer, too. Love it!
YAY!
