  • MYkind: today’s outfit.

    06.20.2011 / myKind

I’m in Portland to teach my creativity course this week, so I only saw it fitting to post an outfit that is equal parts sassy, fun, young and quirky. All the things I like to radiate when I walk into a room.

I also like to radiate polka dots, but these shorts already do that for me.

[Silk top: F21 from years ago, Silk shorts: Vintage, Socks: Kate Spade, Wedges: Jeffrey Campbell, Handbag: My grandmother’s, Bracelets: Collected over the years and I cannot for the life of me remember. Photo: Betsy King]

Pattern pairing is pretty much the best invention ever, right? Sing it.

And look! Proof that I watch much too much Tyra Banks TV.

    • you are sweet!!!

    • You were so much fun to shoot! Just like playing with a Barbie doll….who dresses herself. ;-)

Love it girl! Make sure you keep watching ANTM to stock up on moves for the next shoot!

    • I am looking forward to basking in this outfit this afternoon-
      Ace Hotel or Bust!

    • Hi, just found your blog via Creature Comforts – and the first thing I noticed was .. your hair! :) I just chopped mine off in a similar style and love how you do yours. Any tips you can share on how you direct your stylist for the cut or how you get the curl? Love this MYkind feature. Thanks again!

Hi Stephanie! Carey mulligan is my short hair inspiration so I always bring in a pic of her. And my hair is naturally wavy so air drying is totally the way to go for me. Hope that helps sweet girl!

    • Hey Erin

Not sure how I missed this post.

You look super cute & you made me smile.

    • oh you are sweet – thank you kirsty love!

    • […] this one from Erin at Design for Mankind. Apparently that shirt is from […]

    • I love your look! I’ve been looking for some dewy makeup inspiration. Would love if you’d share some tips/products.

    • absolutely! i use shimmer strips from physician formula (in malibu shade), i believe. its a super lightweight bronzer that gives you a touch of shimmer for your cheeks! super cheap, super drugstore, but highly recommend. :)
