Frida Malarborn is a Swedish artist who specializes in Trompe l’oeil, an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects really exist. The name is derived from French for “trick the eye.”
Hmm… what’s French for “candy the eye?”
Wow, I feel like I’ve been away from my beloved computer forever! I had to scroll down QUITE a bit to get updated on your posts–I’ve been so busy with school and all, I’ve neglected my own poor blog. :( I miss it! Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hello. Once again, you have some awesome posts and even more reasons to lengthen my “favorites” list! There are so many amazing artists out there!!
Thanks for adding my blog *blush* and I hope you have a great week!
Wonderful work! But I guess she is Swedish :)
Kami: Thanks so much for visiting!!!
And Karin: WOW… big difference! Thanks for the clarification; I’ll make the change now!
