Alison can do no wrong in my book. A gal after my own heart, she enjoys exploring the use of everyday material and their artistic potential. And I love her for three BIG reasons:
1. She’s smart.
She writes: “Through the use of drawing and patterning, each consecutive layer represents new information that illuminates an old system. This process of examination articulates the image and in a sense, the resulting paintings are depictions of a change of mind.”
See? That’s smart speak!
[made with candy wrappers and paper doilies].
2. She can do this with staples.
[made with paper and staples. no joke AGAIN].
3. Her last name is ‘Foshee’ which is like the funnest name in the world. Go ahead, say it. Fosheeeeeeeeeee. Foooooooooooooshee. Foshhhhhhhhhee.
[more staple art. can you believe it yet?]
