Remember ‘The Art of Chess’ exhibition from 2005? It’s back and heading to Milan, chocked full of ten outstanding contemporary artists and their re-imagined chess sets. Field trip, perhaps?
Speaking of chess, I’m sort of aching for these chess pieces (although I have no idea how to play the game!).

I love seeing creative chess sets.
I have to say that I am not a great fan of chess despite playing a reasonable amount as a child. It always feels like a long, slightly boring game to play that I would never associate with fun. More like homework. But what a clever idea to make the pieces more interesting and therefore making the game itself more interesting. I may have to resurrect the board this weekend!
Nice design very unusual
Well this is certainly one of the most bizaar chess sets I have ever seen. I fear a game of chess on it would get confusing, as once some moves had been made it would be hard to remember which pieces represented which. But from an artistic perspective it’s great!
