Wearing a pretty Libby Story dress today and I feel like a major fancypants. Can’t wait to style this more casually for a sweet little daytime affair, but for now — I’m off to dine with the husband. Night night!
p.s. That orange suede clutch is just a throw pillow cover I use as a clutch. No joke — best trick in the book.
you, my dear, look maaaahhhvelous :)
So clever! Love the pillowcase clutch! I can’t tell from the pic, did you add any snaps or zipper?
thank you!
@megan — nope! it already has a zipper on the end, so i just fold it over and go! :)
O.K. Where on Earth do you shop? If you find these outfits in Indiana, I need to know where!
Fits you perfectly! Very elegant!
oh thank you friends! jessica — this one is from libby story. i do a lot of my shopping online, actually. :)
but in town, i just shop at target/old navy for basics and forever21 for trends. i’m definitely a budget gal!
Wowza, looking super cute in that dress!
oh thank you so much dear!
Beautiful! Great product placement; I never would have seen their darling dresses otherwise ;) Tell them to send you more!!
easily one of my favorite outfits of yours thusfar! looks great with your short hair
thank you so so much, friends! gosh you all are so sweet!
Blue is certainly your color and the dress fits you so beautifully!!
thanks, ma. :)
Awesome outfit! I can’t believe you use a pillow cover as a clutch – genus!!
oh thank you, elle!!! its a foolproof way to have some fun. :)
You’re like a little ray of sunshine in that outfit.
PS – You need to eat a pint of strawberries while wearing it and a vision of summer would be complete :)
Any time you want to give up Design for Mankind and start styling my wardrobe instead… it’ll be fine by me! You’re adorable, as always- if I carried a pillow case as a clutch, I’d look like a bag lady :D
oh man, i was THIS close to bringing some out for a full-on photo shoot. ha.
You ARE a major fancypants!
i knew it!
Love the dress! Polka dots are fabulous, and I’m beginning to see them more often this season – they’re growing on me.
And the pillow cover clutch, brilliant! Going to have to try that one out.
thank you —- i’m not quite ready for polka dots, but i can do these diamonds that look like the same thing. baby steps! :)
If you get tired you can use your clutch as a pillow. haha
hahahah YES!
These are rapidly becoming my favorite posts. I love all the color you use when you get dressed up. Once again, you’re gorgeous! Loveee the dress and I’m dying over those shoes :)!!
I know it’s been said already, but seriously — genius repurposing of pillow cover as clutch! I’ve used placemats (Crate & Barrel always have good ones) as clutches, but that takes work (sewing up the sides). This is why you do what you do, and I only read about it!!! Happy Memorial Day Weekend. Love the outfit too — and those shoes!! Hope you and hubby had a great dinner out.
I’ve been rocking a polka-dot dress myself recently, having found it in my closet after forgetting about it for sometime (how does that happen, exactly? Is more closet space the answer?) One of my favorite polka-dot dresses of all time is Julia Roberts’ brown and white one in Pretty Woman.
thanks again for your sweet words, dears!!!!
your hair looks TRES FAB! oh, and the dress is a bit amazing too!
ooo… great tip with the pillow cover!
thank you!
