I’ve already picked out the holiday greetings I’ll be sending this year, designed by Susy Jack for Hello, Lucky! Aren’t they adorable? And yes, I know Halloween isn’t over yet. I’m totally breaking my own rules.
Perhaps it’s the realization that this year, Ken and I will be in our own home celebrating Christmas together. We’ve been transitioning and renovating for nearly three years since we moved from Los Angeles to our Midwestern home, and it’s time to pause and enjoy a wintery season under our own roof.
I couldn’t be more thrilled! Are you guys getting antsy, or do holidays drudge up grinch-y feelings for you?
Those are so sweet! I’m a sucker for confetti – and it’s so hard not to think about Christmas when it’s sneaking in all around. We’ve had Christmas in stores since the beginning of October here in Dublin! Absolute madness!
Ummm yes ordered mine this morning! ;)
I feel the same way! This will be mine and my husband’s first Christmas after getting married AND out first Christmas in our own place. We are so excited to come up with our own traditions and decorate.
Those are adorable and it is definitely not too early. I want to make our cards this year so I really need to start thinking. :) And I love that you all are finally in your house and can celebrate in it this year. Nothing like a cozy Christmas at home!
erin, these cards are gorgeous! absolutely love them. xo
How exciting Erin! After getting a little snow last night I can’t help but get a little tinge of excitement.
@desiree oh that is so exciting! congrats on your first christmas together as a family! :)
thanks all! come over any time for a warm christmas at the loechners! :)
dear santa – so far, i’ve been very good this year and would like to add one of erin & ken’s cards to my wish list :)!
@cindy – DONE! :)
ohhhhh wow. thank you so much, erin! : ) i am so happy you like these – it was phenominal to work with Hello Lucky – as a paper person, they are rockstar-equivalent in my world.
This post just made my day…ok…year. xo!
i love these! my rule: come november 1st you may as well consider it december 1st because it’s time to celebrate! i am still in the middle of designing my holiday cards…so hard designing them for yourself!
@susy – you are so so welcome!!! keep up the awesome work! :)
@amanda – i love your rule!
I love it! It’s also my first Christmas at my home. We always stay with relatives for the holidays. I was actually just cleaning out my closet to get my decorations out for Christmas. I’m super excited to start decorating early this year ;)
ooooh me too! youre going to have a ball! :)
Christmas brings both those feelings out for me…grinchy and excitement but I know I am looking forward to all your Christmas deco ideas and hope you two share a wonderful “first” holiday together
awww thank you, dear diane! :)
Oh girl, I’m grinchy!
PS Love that card shop! Do you need a pic for your card? Wonder who could take one? Though I do think you guys on the Dumbo ride is quite dreamy. : )
Erin! Those cards are adorable. I don’t know if I qualify for sending out holiday cards yet- I’m not married or anything- but I can HARDLY resist! The winter months are my favorite up in MN- I must be insane- but YES I can’t wait for winter, and more wintery goodness from DFM!
oh you are so sweet!!! and YES! you definitely qualify. you most certainly should! :)
