Hey gang! I am very excited to join the DFM contributor crew. My name is Libby Alexander and I cofounded the design blog and modern pop-up flea market The Vintage Bazaar. I’ll be helping you kick off your work week every Monday with MIXkind — a collection of songs old and new that will get your toes tapping and start your week in style.
This first mix features ten of my favorite songs – the ones that I play over and over because they make me feel like I’m roller skating down a hill on a sunny spring day. Sound like fun? Take a listen and enjoy, new pals. I can’t wait to share with you each week.
01. Total Serendipity — Mates of State
02. Settle Down — Kimbra
03. Awkward — San Cisco
04. Deceptacon — Le Tigre
05. Business Relations — Warms Ones
06. Future Crimes — Wild Flag
07. Easy Way Out — Gotye
08. Dogs Days Are Over — Florence + The Machine
09. Solsbury Hill — Peter Gabriel
10. Dancing On My Own — Robyn

i’m so excited, too! and her first mix is AMAZING!!!!
Libb, I am soooo NOT hip. I thought I would at least recognize one song on your play list. Give your aunt something she can gnaw on! :)
This is great. Thanks for the tunes.
This is fun new feature. Thanks, Libby!
Erin you had this idea so long ago! I’m so glad to see it in action!!!
ha – i totally forgot, anna!! :)
Have you checked out Designers.MX? It’s a website that basically houses the playlists of designers/artists which they’ve then designed a cover for. It’s about to expand to be much more than music, tho. You should check it out and email me if you’re interested in posting a mix on the site!
