I’m winding down my work schedule for the year, and amidst a flurry of last-minute deadlines and scheduled projects, a reminder arose from the very unlikely place of an at-home photo shoot:
She’s watching me. She’s watching us. At the grocery store, at the post office, at home while taking photos of a hat and thermal shirt. We are shaping her, our words and reactions and behavior providing the wheel at which her clay spins. And although this shot is the one we ended up with…
This is the one that matters:
Merry Christmas to you and yours, friends. May your little ones delight in your shadow, always.

She’s so adorable!!!!!!!! And she’s growing up so fast..
Thank you, sweet Grace!
Peek-a-boo to our favorite little shadow and her mama! You are right that our shadows are a mirror image of our actions until darkness falls for protection and a much needed break from those shadows!
:)
So true! I forget until he does something just like I’m doing – so far it’s all in the cute and good category. Merry Christmas, Loechners!
Merry Christmas to you!
Your thoughts are always so spot on. Thanks for this reminder. Happy New Year to you and your precious family. Thanks for always being so uplifting :)
Ahhh, thank you sweet Katie. I just LOVE your spirit!
I love that you were able to capture Bee’s delight during the process. That’s awesome. Love to you, sweet Erin!
Oh, I owe that one to the photographer, Husband. ;)
