But when you ask for an Alone Day for your birthday and you take yourself out for a massage at your favorite tiny spa and they offer you the celebration discount, you just sort of wind up with a pedicure, don’t you? (It was lovely; I get it now.)

Alone Day! Yes! I realized last birthday that what I really need is to start spending my birthday alone, doing whatever kind of luxurious thing I want. I am so looking forward to next year’s solo plans.
