Wow. I just realized how crazy long it’s been since I’ve posted anything interior-design related. Which is nuts, because interior design was basically my first love. When I was younger, my classmates would stay up late chatting about boys and cars and phones… I just wanted to talk decor. Ha. Loser.
Anyway, I was floored when Fabien Barral [whom you probably know as the author of Graphic-Exchange, a go-to blog for all things graphic-related] emailed me a link to he and his wife’s new project: Harmonie Interieure.
It’s no surprise that decals have been all the rage for the past five years, but gracious— I was really beginning to doubt the longevity of the trend. Until now.
It’s so inspiring to see a new take on the tired norm— you know what I mean: the grass, fawns and florals. I’m so grateful that someone with such a honed graphical eye has stepped up to the plate to offer a more unique selection.
Anyway, I could rant forever about my love for these decals, but instead, I’ll just say thank you to Mr. Fabien, for making our apartments and temporary residences a bit more fabulous.
eep! that escalator decal is <3!
I love that escalator decal enough to buy a place with stairs! Well technically we have a “downstairs” but it’s only when my husband does that pretend going down stairs act behind a table or chair…
HAHAHHAHA omg I’d love your husband, Erin! :)
OUAHHHHHHHHH, this is SUPER !!!!
I love wall decals. Totally for the commitment phobic.
Seriously, Krissy! :)
Yes, these are great! I love the one above the bed, that is like a dream or thought about what happened in the day.
gorgeous & divine.
oh, i’m loving the french type on the wall! so creative! i also wonder how long this decal thing can last…. but i love when people can add something new to a trend!
I love that one, too, Art Kitten! :)
oh yes, that is a fresh approach. very cool. i liked interior design growing up, too. it really bothered me that at one point my room was painted yellow and the bedspread was a rust color. ugh!
Tell me about it, Cindy! Mine was Winne the Pooh all over. [Thanks, Ma! :)]
Great, great, great post. Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful!
hey, it is fab, the man behind Harmonie intéreure, with my wife. Thanks a lot for this so nice post and so positive feedbacks, very kind…
hopefully you do really need an escalator to get the sticker, otherwise I guess I won’t sell a lot of these…
Oh yes…I absolutely love this line. My favorites are the sweet childhood silhouettes. The site is amazing…great photography and I love that you can customize your color choice.
~suzanne
HHHAHAH— I think you’ll do fine, Fab. :)
And yes, Suzanne— you’re right. Great photography! :)
These kind of make me swoon.
WOW! These are beautiful. I love the Parisian kids…that’s certainly more artwork than decal.
I adore the petit lapin decale. Give me anything French and I’m gone :)
I think Mon Petit Lapin is a children’s song. My Great Grandmother was French & I’m sure I remember her singing it to me when I was small. Or am I imagining this?
Sharyne
Sharyne— OMG it IS a song! I think it means ‘my little bunny’?
Incredible! Definitely takes the wall decal into another class.
Wow!! This is fantastic! Thanks for posting…I love wall decals but haven’t purchased any yet, I’ll have to check this out further :)
Your blog is absolutely delicious. I can’t get enough of the design related posts. I especially like the “lapin” decal at the end. Do you mind if I link you? xo
Why thank you, Breathe! Link away! :)
Beautiful! I think these are the best wall decals I’ve ever seen! And if I’d ever have children that last one is just super precious! Have a nice weekend sweetie!
I know, aren’t they? I’m so saving this for my little girl’s room… when the time comes! :)
