When I heard this on the news, I felt so smugly satisfied. I’ve been saying for years libraries shouldn’t lend out books if they want them back.
I heard this on the news too, but I was confused. When I worked at a library and the book was three or so weeks overdue, they just charged the person the price of the book and the fees stopped adding on. Apparently this isn’t how most libraries work?
Interesting article though.
