It snowed today, and I’m not making that up. Flurries all over the place, like a crazy man starting a pillow fight for no reason other than to play with people’s heads.
Rather than dwell on the cold, I conjured up what little inner sunshine I could find and dreamed of brighter days — spring is almost here! Each season I like to shop for ways to celebrate the arrival of a new time. Things change so quickly and seasons seem to fly by faster than ever, so here are a few items I’d love to incorporate into my own life. Let the spring celebration begin!:
1. A wicker rocking chair is the epitome of warmer days. I’d love to debut this beauty in our soon-to-be sun porch.
2. These pink and tan platform heels are a bit of a splurge for me, but I can’t resist the idea of congratulating myself for surviving winter (I know, I justify splurges so easily). Plus, the color combo is too charming.
3. Spring arrival means open-toed shoes (yay!), so bold nail polish is a given. Essie’s Carousel Coral is a current fave and I still have some left over from summer.
4. Is there anything more quintessentially spring than a candy lollipop? Time to indulge.
5. Out with the dreary throw pillows; in with color! I often invest in a colorful throw pillow when spring rolls around — it’s the instant pick-me-up to lure me into spring cleaning mode!
6. It seems everyone has a birthday in April, so my fabric tape stash is dwindling. I can’t wait to replenish with stripes!
7. I organize like a fiend every spring, so baskets and secondary storage is a must. These double wall baskets are perfect for holding magazines, power cords and other miscellaneous household clutter.
8. I finally have a garden to call my own and no tools to speak of. I love the cheery red and substantial metal of these garden utensils.
Come on, spring! I’m ready for you!
(What are you investing in this spring? What’d I miss?)
I love this!
Cute roundup! What a lovely Color!
thanks friends!
I know, I am SO ready for spring. It was thunder and lightning here yesterday despite weird warmness in the morning…
Head down and focused on spring’s imminent arrival.
