Most of what inspires me comes from the vintage realm. Mix that with a great book and some stellar typography, and you have me totally hooked. This week’s Typo Graphic is dedicated to the vintage (and vintage inspired) typographic book cover. When typography gets the highlight on a book cover, it can truly stand out amongst it’s illustrative and photography saturated neighbors. PLUS, typographic book covers are an endless source for display type inspiration. Win-win.
I am such a fan of Jonathan Safran Foer that when I discovered his “Pocket Book of LIghtning” I bought it immediately. The story inside was, of course, just as nice as the cover.
