This is actually a terrible idea, at least to spend that much money on. (I work in a library of architectural drawings.) These are most likely cyanotypes, which are extremely photosensitive. Put a lightbulb in this baby – or even in a room with OTHER lights – and it’s going to fade extremely quickly. Luckily, cyanotypes tend to restore to their natural color if kept in the dark, but it would be a bit silly to have to take down your light fixture and put it in a closet every few months for regular aesthetic maintenance.
