Last week, I hopped a solo flight with the kids to visit my mother-in-law in Florida. We packed Bee’s knapsack with the usual supplies: a water bottle, travel coloring set, paperback book and – of course – dozens of snacks. But on a last minute whim, I grabbed this rubber band ball on my way out the door. (After multiple international flights with the littles, I know the key to keeping kids busy is hiding a few unexpected surprises for when all else fails.)
Wouldn’t you know it? The thing was a hit. The toddler was charged with slowly unraveling each rubber band while his sister made letter shapes and rubber band necklaces for twenty minutes straight. My task? Bask in the happy silence, marvel at the view and remember to pass the simple tip your way…
