bathroom woes.

I just wrote that title because I didn’t know what else to post. This isn’t really woe-worthy, so forget it. BUT, I’m still totally obsessed with my shower curtain decision and am paralyzed with the options. So, I’m wondering if I should go back to my old faithful, which has always been an India Rose ruffled white shower curtain. Clean, pretty and simple.

Anyway, I’m narrowing down my options and have built a few inspiration boards off my favorites. So we’ve got two today. Tell me what you think. Or don’t. Either way, I’ll probably change my mind, like tomorrow.

A note about what you see:
1. Each design houses the KOHLER vanity, because I already have it and it’s sort of endearing. Country/cottage-ish, yes, but we’ve got TOTALLY modern fixtures to off-set the outhouse-ishness of it all, so keep that in mind.
2. I’ve also used Barn Light Electric pendants in each design, b/c they’re awesome.
3. The wall behind the vanity is mirrored from floor to ceiling, so that’s why you don’t see a mirror. Shush.

OK, so what do we think? Bold, loud apothecary bathroom or soft, pure white bathroom? Actually, I think I already know my fave, but I love hearing your thoughts. B/c you’re smart cookies, that’s why.

  • I’m partial to the loud apothecary option. But then again, I’ve also been known to paint salvaged pieces of furniture “obnoxiously” loud yellow.

I say, as long as the Barn Light pendants stay, you’re golden.

  • I vote for the first choice with the ruffly shower curtain. I am afraid with a wall to wall mirror all those stripes in the second choice could make you dizzy. Not a good thing in the bathroom! Love the mix of cottage and industrial…very trendy!

  • Option 1, with plush sexy towels, maybe a classic brocade style in white-on-white or black & white. Romantic farm-house spa!

  • Definitely the first one. I completely agree with what Diane said about the stripes and the mirror. Very shocking in the morning! Plus, you’ll always feel really pretty in the first bathroom :)
