autohairography: the final chapter.

Thank you so much for joining me on this journey of posting snippets of Autohairography, my hair memoir. I’ve realized how much I miss sharing personal writings with you, and will do my best to keep it up! I have much more of this memoir to share, but I’ve chosen to end it right here, and the rest can be left to your imagination. Enjoy!

Shortly after graduating from university, I got a grown-up job in a grown-up city with a grown-up income. I had a grown-up husband, a grown-up house, and a grown-up car.

I thought that, if anything, a grown-up hairstyle would fit in fabulously.

In the past three years, I’ve had bangs, no bangs, brown hair, red hair, curly hair, straight hair and very, very short hair.

I still haven’t found my grown-up hairstyle, but I haven’t given up hope. After all, an autohairography never truly ends, does it now?

  • I’m hooked! Guess I’ll have to wait for the book (not too long, I hope!). Thanks for sharing!! (Sun-In, indeed …. been there).

  • Erin, I absolutely adored following along with you and your hair stories. I have a soft spot in my heart for all things hair, so this totally made me smile all the time.

    Thanks. :)

  • oh, marisa — so happy you enjoyed the stories. i have a soft spot for hair, too, and am so happy to have pixied mine!!!

  • I’m so sad to see this series end! At least until, you know, your beautifully illustrated book comes out. I will wait in desperation until that day :)

  • These were just lovely…bit sad that it’s over, really hope you find a publisher, love, because these are amazing…Love, Jules
