MYkind: i’m a giant challenge.

MYkind is where I talk about myself, so if you’re not into hearing updates on a crazy person, you might want to surpass this post and enjoy some more beautiful art and objects.

So here’s something fun. My e-friend Emily invited myself and a few other awesome people to play with her. As in play house. Or playhouse. Whichever you’d prefer, or even both. Actually, definitely both.

Because guess what? We’re decorating dollhouses*. Teeny tiny little dream houses of our own, and because I never owned a dollhouse as a kid (although I did hack quite a cardboard box mansion for Barbie, Ken and my sister’s Michael Jackson doll), I’m all over this challenge. In fact, Melissa & Doug gifted me this furnished dollhouse to work with. So sweet, yes? It’s the dream home I never had.

We’ll be sharing pics of our creations along the way (hopefully weekly!), so feel free to tune in if you dare. And if any of you have any miniature shoes, I’d love them. It’s for a top secret DIY in my new dream house’s mudroom.

We’ll be done by Christmas, and when I’m finished, I’m totally inviting my sister’s Michael Jackson doll to host a holiday soiree on the back deck. Thriller, indeed.
