A Smoothie

I don’t believe in twisting yourself into knots of excuses and explanations over the food you make. Julia Child said this.

A recipe, then. It’s an easy one, and a nutritious one, and it requires five minutes and a blender. No knots, no excuses, no explanations.

I like to dress it up when I make it at home, but it’s just as tasty in your toddler’s sippy cup, just as dazzling in your Nalgene water bottle on your way to the carpool lane.

The Double Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie with Mint

INGREDIENTS:
ZICO Coconut Water (14 oz), Chocolate flavored
1 cup of frozen raspberries
3-4 fresh mint leaves
2 Tbsp chia seeds
1/4 cup of frozen banana (just the tip!)
1/4 avocado
1 cup of ice

RECIPE:
You know what to do. Blend it, pour, enjoy.

p.s. I made this recipe for ZICO, and if you’re feeling extra virtuous, you can see dozens more creations right here!

  • Sounds fabulous! My go-to lately is a green smoothie: coconut almond milk, a couple of dates, biiig handful of spinach, TB of peanut or almond butter, chia seeds, frozen banana. Sometimes I add unsweetened cocoa powder because it tastes yummy but the color is pretty bleh. = )
