Creepy? (Not her work, but what it says) I saw an exhibit of installations of things recovered from foreclosed skanky houses at MOMA last winter. Laid out like these things and it’s amazing how incredibly riveting piles of junk are.
And disturbingly on the link, I saw a plastic flamingo grabber toy that is in my house right now. It’s my son’s. How’s that for warping femininity!

And you know, junk in a pile is totally this huge art trend right now. Its bizarre, but riveting!
it reminds me of the show hoarders, which i’m afraid to watch lest i be one. i can’t believe all those little pink things – gah!
As a researcher on all things gender-related, this kinda makes me sick but also totally fascinated.
