You knew this post was coming, yes? First-time mom registries are so very funny. We furiously add products day after day, discovering new miraculous lifesavers that promise to make the transition easier and the baby happier and life all around more magical. And then the baby comes and you realize that he hates to be swaddled. And she needs a louder sound machine. Or that bathtubs are sort of unnecessary.
And even though I was lucky enough to be surrounded with super smart mothers who recommended some amazing products, every baby is so very different. With this in mind, I’ll be spending some time over the next few weeks updating my registry page here. Now that Bee is 8 months, I’ll share with you the products we loved/hated/never used/used daily. I’m hoping you’ll find it super useful if you’re a new mom registering for her sweet little babe now (and congratulations!).
Stay tuned: tomorrow we’re starting with the nursery!

p.s. Did any of you new moms fail miserably with your registry? I can’t believe how badly I missed the mark with a few of my picks!

Yay! I’ve been waiting for an updated registry for so long! Just in time for me to nail down the finishing touches to mine! xoxo
Ah, happy to help, dear! And congratulations!

Hmm, missed the mark… I had so many friends and family giving me tips, gifts and hand-me-downs that registry items were few, but I really messed up on a diaper bag. I thought “I’ll use this cute bag I have” until the first time I did use it and found myself digging around trying to grab hold of that bag of diapers and where did the burp cloth go? My sister-in-law shipped a surprise diaper bag shortly after, that we love, so she saved our bacon. I’m looking forward to your updated registry, though, so I can see what you did. = )
Ha – I actually like our diaper bag, but a cousin mentioned that it was too pretty to be functional. Although I’m of the school of thought that anything can work as a diaper bag, so I suppose I have low expectations. (Also, it should be noted that I rarely left the house when Bee was a newborn, so a diaper bag was super unnecessary!) ;)
I loved your registry guide! I’m so curious what you’ll change. I am only a week in to being a mama but I have a few edits to the things I’ve gotten/not gotten as well!
It’s such a learning experience, yes? :)
