Well, not quite. Sara the Art History major is probably a good bet here, what you make would have some relation to art you have studied.
It’s not just making the art, it’s making the art in response to other pieces of art with knowledge of the art world in general. You aren’t just making an image, you should be engaging in a dialogue. Why did you make this piece of art, what does it tell us about the art world, the world in general, how does it relate to what has been said in the past.
