Just another one of those totally awesome installations that are floating throughout the world. This one? Straight from Australia, specifically displayed at the Melbourne National Museum.
Created by Duke Albada, ‘Missed’ can be explained in a simple paragraph:
A memorial for all visitors to temporarily claim as their own.
The visitors express themselves via writing on a sheet of steamed up-misted glass.
The writing slowly dissolves as the steam reclaims territory.
Man, those Aussies have got it down.
this is am-A-zing. i wish i had a mini installation of my own like this one.
Oh but we do, dear— they’re showers! :)
this is one of those great ideas that start with something so simple — I used to write on my shower doors backwards and then when i got out, checked if i did it right! =)
